Latina’s Journey: Serving Our Community and Those In Needs
Dr. Castiel, a Cuban-American who emigrated to the U.S., will share her personal journey, the challenges of being a diverse professional, and how she gives back to the community she calls home – Worcester.
Dr. Castiel holds an MD from the University of California, San Francisco
and previously worked as a physician at UMass Memorial Medical
Center among other prominent medical institutions.
She founded the Latin American Health Alliance, a collaboration of diverse community groups dedicated to combating homelessness and drug addiction. She brings strong community-based leadership and practical solutions to her work specializing in diverse populations.
