Construction & Real Estate Roundtable
On September 29h, join the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce for our Construction and Real Estate Roundtable, presented by Bowditch Attorneys, NAI Glickman, Kovago & Jacobs, Building Evolution Corporation, and Gilbane Building Company.
This quarter's Construction and Real Estate Roundtable will feature Vice President of Development at Winn Companies Drew Colbert, to discuss one of the most visible, high profile construction projects in Worcester today, the Residences at Lincoln Square.
The Residences on Lincoln Square is breathing new life to an iconic 1929 brick building, once home to the Worcester Boys Club. Projected to be completed in Q2 of 2026, the project will bring 80 brand new affordable apartments, designed for age 55+ located in the heart of Worcester’s vibrant Salisbury cultural district. The project offers studio, one- and two- bedroom apartments with a unique blend of traditional architecture and contemporary amenities, fostering a sense of belonging, connectivity and socialization. Indoor and outdoor amenity spaces that are set to impress!
Mr. Colbert joined WinnCompanies in 2014 and currently serves as a Vice President of Development. He works on all aspects of the development cycle and is actively involved in various mixed-use and mixed-finance projects across the Northeast and Midwest. Development types include rehabilitation of existing housing, historic adaptive re-use, master planning and new construction. He is responsible for implementing many of the company’s Boston- and Massachusetts-based development initiatives, including the $2 billion multi-phased redevelopment of Mary Ellen McComack, a 27-acre, 1,016-unit public housing community in South Boston that will be re-imagined into a mixed-use, ecosystem featuring 3,300 mixed-income housing units, structured parking, ground floor retail and community space; the $40 million redevelopment of Harborwalk Residences and Harbor125 Apartments in conjunction with the Boston Housing Authority; the $47 million development of The Watson in Quincy, MA, which features the largest number of middle-income housing units financed by MassHousing and recipient of the Urban Land Institute’s 2019 Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award; and the $200 million transformation of the historic Sibley Building in Rochester, NY, which created more than 280 units of mixed-income housing, 20,000 SF of retail and 80,000 SF of office and tech incubator space and has won multiple industry awards. He is also responsible for the upcoming redevelopment of 390 Main Street here in Worcester due to break ground in the second half of 2026.
A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Mr. Colbert currently resides in Boston. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Geography from Colgate University.
